Kenya Police Recruitment 2025: Requirements, Age Limit, and Application Guide

The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has announced fresh recruitment guidelines, outlining the qualifications and requirements for Kenyans interested in joining the service.

Key Eligibility Criteria

According to the notice, prospective applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Citizenship: Must be a Kenyan citizen with a valid National ID card.
  • Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 28 years.
  • Education: A minimum KCSE grade of D+, including at least a D+ in English or Kiswahili.
  • Fitness: Candidates must be physically and medically fit.
  • Height Requirements: At least 5 ft 8 in for men and 5 ft 3 in for women.
  • Conduct: Must have no criminal record or pending cases.

The Commission emphasized that female candidates must not be pregnant during recruitment and throughout training. Additionally, graduates of the National Youth Service (NYS) who meet the entry qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply.
