U.S. Embassy Issues Security Advisory Amid Demonstrations in Tanzania

According to the advisory, security services are actively responding to the situation, and U.S. government personnel in the country have been advised to shelter in place at their residences until further notice.

The Embassy noted that demonstrations have been reported in several regions, with varying levels of intensity, as tensions flare amid election-related activity.
