General Conditions

  1. Pre-existing and chronic conditions, gynaecological conditions, and cancer treatment are subject to a 12-month waiting period.
  2. Maternity and related complications are subject to a 9-month waiting period.
  3. Scheduled surgical cases require 6 months waiting.
  4. Eligibility: main member and spouse (18–60 years), dependent children 0 months–18 years, or up to 25 years in full-time education.
  5. Cover becomes effective only after written confirmation and full premium payment.
  6. Scheduled admissions must be pre-authorized 48 hours prior to admission.
  7. All hospital bills are paid net of NHIF rebates.
  8. Verification at accredited providers is required with identification.

Exclusions

  • Cosmetic or plastic surgery unless accidental
  • Beauty treatment, massage, and spa
  • Fertility treatment and infertility costs
  • Obesity or weight management treatments
  • Non-authorized or alternative treatments (herbal, acupuncture, chiropractor)
  • Treatment outside the appointed hospital panel
  • Expenses recoverable under other insurance (e.g., NHIF)
  • Epidemics and pandemics except COVID-19 within limits
  • Substance abuse, alcohol, or drug-related treatments

  • National ID and KRA PIN for all adult applicants
  • Birth certificate or birth notification for all children under 18
  • Completed and signed application form
