The Nairobi Hospital has announced the appointment and co-option of six new board members following a sitting held on 6 February 2026, a move aimed at strengthening governance, operational continuity, and long-term leadership.


The Nairobi Hospital board has announced new membership additions following its sitting held on 6 February 2026, in a move that reinforces the institution’s commitment to strong governance and sustainable leadership.

In line with the hospital’s Articles of Association, the Board appointed three members from the Kenya Hospital Association to fill casual vacancies. The newly appointed members are Mr. Erick Okeyo, MBS, MKIM; Lekek Kosgei Chebii; and Mr. Moses Agoi Ondaba.

According to the hospital, the three appointees bring extensive professional experience and fresh perspectives that are expected to support the hospital’s governance mandate and its continued delivery of world-class medical services.

Co-opted members to enhance board capacity

In addition to the appointments, the Board also co-opted three members to further strengthen its expertise across key domains. The co-opted members are Dr. Silvester Okumu Kasuku; Mr. Philip Kisia, MBS, FKIM, FMSK; and Eng. Christopher O Oanda.

Their inclusion is intended to enhance the Board’s clinical, administrative, and technical capabilities, ensuring informed decision-making and reinforcing sustainable governance structures at the hospital.

The Nairobi Hospital noted that the blend of professional backgrounds among the new members will support balanced oversight and strategic guidance as the institution navigates an evolving healthcare environment.
