The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) announced these outages as part of routine maintenance to improve service delivery and enhance the reliability of electricity supply across the affected regions.
Nakuru County: Ol Rongai, Tulwobmoi, and Pipeline Wanyama Areas
In Nakuru County, the areas of Ol Rongai and Tulwobmoi will experience outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Key locations affected include Ol Rongai Center, Gitau Center, and Ol Rongai Raymond, among others. Meanwhile, the Pipeline Wanyama area, including locations such as Stem Hotel, Kenya Pipe Line, and Lake Nakuru Lodge, will have power interruptions from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Uasin Gishu County: Sosioni and Chemaluk Areas
In Uasin Gishu County, Sosioni and Chemaluk regions are slated for power outages from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Affected locations include Chepkongi Primary School, Sego Girls, and Konda, among others.
Elgeyo Marakwet County: Chebororwa Area
Chebororwa area in Elgeyo Marakwet County will also be without power from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The outage will impact places such as Chebororwa, Duka Moja, Koitugum, and Kaptiny, among others.
Meru County: Mafuko, Runogone Areas
In Meru County, the areas of Mafuko and Runogone will experience power outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Notable locations affected include Mafuko Bakery, Gulf Petrol Station, and KEMU University.
Murang’a County: Gatura, Kiarutara Areas
Residents in Gatura and Kiarutara areas of Murang’a County will also face power interruptions from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The outage will affect Wanyagaa, Gaturi, Mwago, and Kiganjo, among others.
Kiambu County: Kirigiti, Gichocho, Limuru Town
In Kiambu County, Kirigiti and Gichocho areas, including institutions such as Sasini EPZ, St. Joseph the Worker, and Digro Investment, will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additionally, parts of Limuru Town, including areas like Kwambera and Githutha, will also experience outages during the same period.
