Thamani Sacco, formerly known as Nithi Tea Growers Sacco, is a leading cooperative society in Kenya, registered under the Cooperative Act Cap 12 of 1997. Established with the primary objective of mobilizing members’ savings and providing credit, the Sacco has grown significantly since its inception. Initially focused on serving tea growers, the Sacco opened its Front Office Services (FOSA) in September 2000, expanding its membership to include individuals involved in various agricultural and business activities.
In October 2011, Thamani Sacco was licensed by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) to operate as a deposit-taking Sacco. With an asset base of Ksh 0.76 billion, it has emerged as one of the largest Saccos in Kenya, offering diverse financial products and services.
Membership
To become a member of Thamani Sacco, individuals must meet the following requirements:

- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be of sound mind and possess good character.
