Initially, its membership was exclusively drawn from employees of the Ministry of Co-operative Development, which serves as its parent ministry. However, over the years, Shirika DT Sacco has broadened its membership scope to include professionals from various organizations. Today, the Sacco has close to 8,000 active members and boasts deposits exceeding Kshs 3.5 billion.

Shirika DT Sacco Membership Requirements

  2. A registration fee of Kshs 1,000 (non-refundable).
  3. The first deposit, which should include Kshs 300 for the risk fund, is paid by all members.
  4. A copy of your National ID or passport.
  5. A copy of your current payslip, if employed.
  6. A passport-sized photograph.
