(i) Individuals

- Copy of National ID or valid passport.
- Two color passport-sized photographs.
- Copy of KRA PIN certificate.
- Registration fee of Kshs 1,000.
- Minimum FOSA account balance of Kshs 500.
- Initial monthly contribution for insurance, shares, and deposits (minimum of Kshs 1,240).
(ii) Groups/Chamas
For welfare groups or investment Chamas, these are the membership requirements:

- Group constitution.
- National ID card or passport for office bearers.
