Thika Institute of Business Studies (TIBS) has become a leading institution for vocational training in Kenya. Founded in October 2003, the institute aimed to provide opportunities for the youth who missed out on public or private university admissions. Starting with only four courses, TIBS has grown tremendously and now offers over 50 programs in Artisan, Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma levels.
TIBS programs are accredited by reputable national and international examining bodies such as the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB), City & Guilds (UK), Institute of Commercial Management (ICM), and more. With four intakes annually—January, April, July, and October—TIBS continues to be a key player in empowering students with practical skills across various fields.
