Over 150 golfers from various clubs across Kenya are set to converge at the par-72 Kiambu Golf Club this Saturday for the highly anticipated Legendary Golfers tournament. The event brings together a multi-disciplinary group of professionals, united by their passion for golf, to compete for top prizes. Organizers promise a fun-filled day, with the tournament beginning in the morning and concluding with an evening of live band music.
The action will take place on the 9-hole course, with the first tee-off set for 6:30 am, followed by an afternoon tee-off between 10:06 am and 1:26 pm. The event is powered by sponsors including First Assurance, Floor Knight, Semara Hotel Machakos, Ngambi Fresh, Kwetu Real Estate, and Parworld Golf Enterprises.
“We are delighted to host golfers from different clubs this weekend during the Legendary Golf Day at Kiambu Golf Club. Our course is in excellent shape, and the greens provide an ideal environment for competitive play,” said Kiambu Club Captain, Ceaser Mugo.
Among the participants is Machakos-based player Daniel Salaton, who recently claimed victory at the KCB Series in Machakos. Salaton is looking forward to the challenge, stating, “It will be a pleasure to play at Kiambu Club, home to some of Kenya’s top amateur golfers. It is going to be tough, but I believe with my experience and good run of form, I will emerge victorious. My swing is there, and I intend to make a statement right from the onset.”
The Legendary Golfers tournament is part of a series of activities at Kiambu Golf Club this week, which kicked off on Thursday with the Utamaduni Golf tournament, followed by the KCB Series today.
With top-tier golfers set to compete and the course in pristine condition, the Legendary Golfers tournament promises to be an exciting event for both participants and spectators alike.
