Mauritius (Plaine Magnien):
Starting from October 27, 2024, Kenya Airways will introduce an additional flight from Mauritius to Nairobi. Flights to Mauritius will now operate on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, increasing convenience for travelers heading to and from the popular holiday destination.
Comoros Islands (Moroni):
Effective October 28, 2024, the airline will add a new flight frequency from Nairobi to the Comoros Islands. The service will now operate on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, offering more options for passengers traveling to the Indian Ocean archipelago.
Zanzibar, Tanzania:
From October 28, 2024, night flights from Zanzibar to Nairobi will increase to seven per week, reflecting growing demand for travel between the two destinations.
New York, USA:
Between December 5, 2024, and January 4, 2025, Kenya Airways will add two more weekly flights from Nairobi to New York on Thursday and Saturday. These additional flights will accommodate increased demand during the holiday season, providing more flexibility for passengers traveling to the U.S.
Kigali, Rwanda:
Starting November 1, 2024, Kenya Airways will introduce an additional Friday flight to Kigali, Rwanda, raising the total number of weekly flights to 25, allowing for greater connectivity between the two cities.
Mogadishu, Somalia:
Kenya Airways will suspend all flights to and from Mogadishu starting October 15, 2024, due to operational challenges. This move will enable the airline to refocus on optimizing its route network. Passengers affected by the suspension will be contacted for rebooking, refunds, or rerouting options.
