2. Members, Laikipia County Public Service Board: The Members will work collaboratively with the Chairperson and are responsible for:

  • Establishing and abolishing offices within the County Public Service.

  • Exercising disciplinary control over public service officers.
  • Advising on Human Resource Management and performance management systems.
  • Ensuring the development of coherent, integrated human resource planning and budgeting.

Requirements for Both Positions:

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Satisfy the leadership and integrity requirements as per Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution.
  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. A Master’s Degree or higher is an added advantage.
  • Relevant professional experience:
    • Chairperson: At least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial position.
    • Member: At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Understanding of National and County Government goals, policies, and governance principles.
  • Demonstrate professional competence, leadership, communication skills, and commitment to public service.

Terms of Engagement:

  • The positions are offered on a six-year non-renewable contract.
  • There is an option for part-time engagement.
