The company also completed the installation of 85,000 meters of fibre optic cable infrastructure, further cementing its role as a leader in delivering world-class digital connectivity within the rapidly growing 5,000-acre city on the outskirts of Nairobi.
Tatu Telecom provides reliable, high-speed internet to residential homes, schools, and businesses within Tatu City, ensuring that new occupants are connected within 24 hours of moving in. The company’s core network operates at 10Gbps but can be upgraded to 100Gbps, making it scalable and future-proof for the city’s continued development.

Since its launch three years ago, Tatu Telecom has established an open-access network that allows multiple internet service providers (ISPs) to serve the residents and businesses of Tatu City. This flexible model has attracted a wide range of customers, including major call centers, corporate offices, and educational institutions, all of which benefit from the robust and reliable internet services provided by Tatu Telecom.
Customer-Focused Support and Future Offerings
To ensure seamless service, Tatu Telecom has set up a 24-hour manned help desk, offering round-the-clock support. This service was implemented in response to customer feedback and is especially beneficial for businesses that operate 24/7, as well as for residents who rely on uninterrupted internet access. Looking to the future, Tatu Telecom plans to introduce new services, such as firewall as a service, to enhance cybersecurity for both homes and businesses.

Tatu Telecom’s fibre network is part of Tatu City’s integrated utilities approach, which includes other essential services like water, electricity, and sewerage. Tatu City has already invested over KES 40 billion in world-class infrastructure, including more than 60 kilometers of international-standard roads, a 135MVA power capacity, and a 24/7 potable water supply system, all of which contribute to its status as a leading business and residential hub.
Tatu City has also launched Fahari Link, an initiative designed to extend affordable, high-speed internet to underserved communities in Kiambu County. Fahari Link provides low-cost internet connections, daily internet plans, and public Wi-Fi to nearly one million people, including residents in areas such as Ruiru, Oaklands, Murera, Ruturu, and Kamiti Corner.
