Nyati Savings & Credit Co-operative Society, commonly known as Nyati Sacco, was established in 1977 under the Cooperatives Societies Act by employees of Securicor Security, now known as G4S Security. Over the decades, Nyati Sacco has grown into a significant player in Kenya’s financial cooperative sector. In 2016, the Sacco received a deposit-taking license under the Sacco Society Act of 2008, allowing it to enhance its financial services while being regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA).
Nyati Sacco is committed to promoting a savings culture among its members and providing them with affordable loans for personal development, school fees, and emergencies. With a membership of over 27,367, an asset base of Ksh 4.58 billion, and a loan portfolio of Ksh 3.53 billion, the Sacco has built a strong foundation that continues to support its members’ financial well-being.
Nyati Sacco Membership Eligibility
Becoming a member of Nyati Sacco is open to various groups, as outlined below:
- Employees from Organizations with a Check-Off Agreement
Individuals working for organizations that have entered into a check-off agreement with Nyati Sacco are eligible to join. These organizations include, but are not limited to:- G4S Secure Data Solutions

Employees from any other organizations, as may be approved by the Nyati Sacco board, are also eligible for membership. - Former Employees of Partner Organizations
Individuals who have previously worked for companies with a check-off agreement are welcome to maintain their membership in Nyati Sacco. - Nyati Sacco Employees
Employees of Nyati Sacco itself are also eligible to become members. - Family Members of Existing Members
Spouses and children of Nyati Sacco members can join the Sacco, provided they are introduced in writing by the existing member.
Nyati Sacco Membership Requirements
To join Nyati Sacco, prospective members must meet the following requirements:
- Membership Application Form
Fill out a membership application form, which can be downloaded from the Sacco’s official website or obtained from its offices or delegates located across the country. - Identification and Documents
Provide a copy of your National ID, your latest payslip, a copy of your ATM card, and two colored passport-sized photos. - Entry Fee
A one-time entry fee of Ksh 500 is required. - Monthly Deposit
Members are required to contribute a minimum monthly deposit of Ksh 1,200. - Share Capital
A minimum share capital contribution of Ksh 3,000 is mandatory for all members.
