2. Step-by-Step Guide to Pay KISEB Fees Using M-PESA on e-Citizen

Step 1: Log In and Select Payment Method

  1. Log in to your e-Citizen account and go to the KISEB payment section.
  2. Click on ‘Pay’ and select ‘Pay with e-Citizen’.

Step 2: Confirm Payment Amount

  1. A green ‘Pay’ button will appear displaying the amount owed, including the KES 50 convenience fee.

Step 3: Choose M-PESA as the Payment Option

Step 4: Select Payment Method (STK Push or Manual Paybill)

There are two options for M-PESA payments:

  • Option 1: STK Push (M-PESA Express)

    • Enter the mobile number to be used for the payment.
    • Click ‘Initiate Payment’ to receive an M-PESA PIN prompt on your mobile phone.
  • Option 2: Manual Paybill

    • Choose ‘Paybill’ and enter 222222 as the business number.
    • Enter the account number provided in your e-Citizen instructions.
    • Enter the amount and complete the payment with your M-PESA PIN.

  1. After entering your M-PESA PIN, you’ll receive a confirmation SMS from M-PESA.
  2. Go back to the e-Citizen platform, and click on the blue ‘Complete’ button.
