Bob Collymore Foundation to Host Third International Jazz Festival in Nairobi

BC International Jazz Festival Returns in 2025 with Global and Local Stars

The Bob Collymore Foundation (BCF) has announced the third edition of its highly anticipated BC International Jazz Festival (BCIJF), set to take place on 15th February 2025 at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi, Kenya. This festival will once again bring together a diverse lineup of local and international jazz artists, providing music lovers with a vibrant, high-quality experience.

Wambui Collymore, Festival Director, highlighted the festival’s mission, saying, “Every one of our events is curated to expand access to our emerging jazz ecosystem. We also aim to engage globally recognized artists to encourage the continued growth of our creative sector.”

Local acts are encouraged to audition for a chance to perform alongside international stars. Auditions will be held on 2nd November 2024, and the application deadline for interested artists is 26th October 2024.

In addition to celebrating music, the festival aims to create a long-lasting impact on Kenyan youth by supporting music education through initiatives like Ghetto Classics. Proceeds from the event will go toward providing young adults with access to artistic expression and education, helping to foster social change and boost Kenya’s creative economy.

Tickets for East Africa’s largest jazz festival will go on sale soon. Previous editions of the BCIJF have been sold-out successes, featuring international and regional jazz stars and offering a family-friendly atmosphere that connects societies through the universal power of music.
