Important Rules You Must Know

1. Nature of Coverage

The policy does not act as general health insurance. It covers sudden and unexpected illness or accidental injury occurring outside the traveller’s home country.

2. Pre-Existing Conditions

Pre-existing medical conditions are excluded.

3. General Health Exclusions

You are not covered if you:

  • Travel against medical advice
  • Are awaiting medical test results or are on a waiting list
  • Travel specifically to obtain treatment
  • Have received a terminal medical prognosis

What to Do in an Emergency

Travel insurance requires immediate reporting of serious incidents.

You MUST call Specialty Assistance if any of the following happen:

  • Medical expenses exceed USD 500
  • Hospital admission
  • Accident involving injury
  • Death of the insured traveller

How to Make a Claim (Non-Emergency)

For non-emergency situations, complete a claim form within 31 days after returning home.
Attach:

  • Invoices
  • Travel documents
