General Conditions & Eligibility
- Waiting Periods:
- 12 months: Pre-existing/chronic/gynaecological/cancer/HIV
- 9 months: Maternity & related complications
- 6 months: Scheduled surgical cases
- Age Limits:
- Principal & Spouse: 18–60 years entry; coverage to 65 years
- Children: From birth (term baby ≥38 weeks) to 18 years (or 25 if full-time student & residing with parents)
- Other Rules:
- Premiums paid in advance/full for cover to be effective
- Scheduled admissions: Pre-authorize 48 hours prior
- All bills net of SHA rebates
