Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has officially opened a new branch in Bondo, Siaya County, marking a significant expansion in its network as it unveils its 88th branch in Kenya and 158th in East Africa. Located in the Naya Centre, this strategic move aims to bring DTB’s comprehensive financial services closer to its customers and penetrate new sectors of the local economy.
The inauguration of the new branch was attended by Siaya County Governor, H.E. James Orengo, who lauded the initiative. “The opening of this new DTB branch is not just a milestone for the bank but a monumental step for the people of Siaya County. It symbolizes our dedication to economic growth and financial inclusivity,” said Governor Orengo. He emphasized the joint commitment with DTB to create more opportunities and provide the necessary financial tools for residents to thrive.
George Otiende, the Retail Director at Diamond Trust Bank, expressed gratitude towards the County Government of Siaya for their support in making this expansion possible. “Our new branch in Bondo reaffirms DTB’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships that spur inclusive economic growth,” Otiende stated. He highlighted that the branch would serve to empower the local community, aiding the development of key sectors such as agriculture, sports, environmental conservation, accessible housing, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The Bondo branch will offer a wide array of banking products and services, including personal and business accounts, diverse loan options, supply chain financing, mortgages, cards, and investment opportunities. In addition to in-person banking, customers can leverage DTB’s robust digital channels for convenient account management and transaction services.
This new establishment is a testament to DTB’s ongoing strategy to enhance accessibility to quality banking services across East Africa and underscores the bank’s role in supporting sustainable development and economic opportunities in emerging markets.
