James Mworia, CEO of Centum Group, has announced a significant achievement for Kenya and Two Rivers International Finance & Innovation Centre SEZ (TRIFIC). TRIFIC has officially become a member of the prestigious World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), joining global financial hubs such as the Istanbul Financial Center.
This marks a major milestone for Nairobi, as the city is now part of a global network of 28 financial centers across four continents, further cementing its position as a growing financial hub in Africa.
With TRIFIC’s membership in WAIFC, the center is expected to bring about several key advantages for Kenya:
- Attract global investments: TRIFIC’s enhanced profile will help draw in international investors, boosting the Kenyan economy.
- Foster innovation and job creation: By promoting financial and technological innovation, TRIFIC will contribute to the creation of jobs in Kenya’s growing financial and tech sectors.
- Position Nairobi as a key financial hub in Africa: This milestone elevates Nairobi’s status as one of the leading financial centers on the continent.
Mworia took the opportunity to congratulate Brenda Mbathi, CEO of TRIFIC, for her visionary leadership in achieving this global recognition for Nairobi and Kenya. “Huge congrats to our CEO, Brenda Mbathi, for her leadership in achieving this! Onward and upward for TRIFIC and Kenya!” Mworia stated.
TRIFIC’s inclusion in the WAIFC network reflects Nairobi’s growing importance on the global stage as a financial hub. This development is expected to open up new opportunities for Kenya in the areas of investment, innovation, and job creation, further contributing to the country’s economic transformation.
